Dot and the Ruby Sneakers
Dotty dreams of a better life when suddenly she and her faithful dog Toto find themselves transported to another world. There she makes friends with Mophead, Rusty and a lion who help her defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. However, although she has made some great new friends Dotty comes to the conclusion that there is ‘No Place Like Home’.
For Adults and Children of all ages. Please note there is a real dog in this production.

In the summer of 2018 Theatre Presto commemorated 100 years since the end of the First World War with:
McAlister in Wonderland
Calum McAlister in a young Scottish cadet, stuck in the trenches during the First World War, when suddenly a Puffin runs past. McAlister follows the creature and escapes the traumatic horrors of the war by entering his own imagination.
This is an hour-long show, full of our usual, good, old fashion family fun, that has been inspired by Lewis Carroll and accompanied with ‘sing-along’ songs from the 1914 to 1918 war.

Based on the ‘Famous Five’ books by Enid Blyton. The first book in the series was written 75 years ago, in 1942. Julian, Dick, George, Anne and Timmy the dog were always having adventures. At the time, the children were between 10 and 12 years of age. Now, 75 years later, they are aged between 85 and 87, but, what are they getting up to now?!!!
‘Five Have a Jolly Good Time’ is Theatre Presto’s irreverent tribute to our favourite childhood books.

It followed Jack’s adventures in a completely new take on the original story.

A whodunit with a difference

Mr Punch lived a happy and contented life. Unwittingly battering his poor defenceless wife Judy, inadvertently tormenting the baby, and unknowingly terrorising the whole neighbourhood. Until one day he was found murdered. Let the story unfold in front of your very eyes, as the Policeman conducts the most mind boggling case since ‘Who Shot Cock Robin!’

Cinderella
Written and especially devised by company director Preston Clare.
In this Christmas pantomime, the performers demonstrated their versatility by playing multiple roles, singing and dancing, combining songs from the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s but with a modern twist.
Buttons, Cinderella, her two Sisters and the Fairy Godmother conjured up a 60 minute, fun packed show with stunning costumes that would turn any Prince’s eye, followed by a sing-along of favourite Christmas Carols.
The show toured in December 2012.

End of Pier Variety Show
This extravaganza, written and especially devised by company director Preston Clare, was inspired by the annual summer trip “Doon the watter” on the paddle steamer, or the family outing to the seaside.
Although for the elderly, infirm, or people with learning difficulties, Theatre Presto like to encourage the families to join in the shenanigans.
The show went on tour during the Summer of 2012.

Christmas Panto 2011
Theatre Presto presented a brand new pantomime during the 2011 Christmas season: Snow White.
Snow White, the Wicked Queen and Lordie the dwarf took audiences through a 45 minute show followed by a sing a long of favourite Christmas Carols.
The show ran from the 1st to the 24th of December 2011.
